Kennton Hoffman--Husband, Father, Soccer Fan & Founder & CEO

Kennton is the founder and owner of Wheat State Insurance Group. He is married to his beautiful wife Kyra and has three children Emma, Kierran & Lillian. When he is not hanging out with his work family in the office, you will most likely find him field side at one of his three kids soccer games. Beyond soccer his hobbies are movies and swimming with his family, and dining with his wife. When he gets to kick his feet up and take a break, he prefers the sunny days in Florida. He has been a licensed Insurance Agent since 2009. He is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health.

Blake Pearson--Husband, Dad, Coach WSIG General Manager and Agent!

Blake Pearson has been a licensed insurance agent since 2008 and a WSIG team member since 2021. Specializing in commercial insurance, Blake also offers personal line expertise in Home & Auto as well as Life & Health. When he’s not with his wife Libby and kids Izzie, Nevie & Wells, you’ll find Blake coaching the Valley Center Hornets high school football team, cheering on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, or spending some quality time on the links.

Shira Krenek--Wife, Mom, Barrel Racer and Agent

Shira, a lifelong resident of Sumner County, offers personal line expertise in Farm, Home & Auto as well as Life Insurance. A part of the WSIG family since 2020, Shira's positivity, attention to detail and genuine commitment to her clients make her a tremendous asset to our team.
When she isn't working with her WSIG clientele, Shira keeps busy on the family farm with her husband, Austin, and a house full of energy and kids. In addition to their own two children, Blane and Brinzlee the Krenek home also includes Austin’s nephews, Caleb and Jayce. As a family, the six of them enjoy farming, camping, and attending rodeos--where they all compete!

Wife, Dog Mom to several Giant Pups, Cancer Survivor and Insurance Agent!

Jess has been an Agent since 2009 & joined Wheat State Insurance Group in 2012. She is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health. She loves spending time outdoors with her husband Ryan and her BIG dogs. Jess can often be found playing in the dirt, shooting targets, fishing, tending to their 45 chickens, gardening, riding quads, and cheering for the KU Jayhawks, Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. She also refinishes antique furniture--a skill she learned from her father.

Katherine Terry--Mom, Grandma, Animal Foster, Baker and Office Manager

Katherine’s work background includes insurance, accounting, city government, and business owner. When she's not at the office, Katherine can be found taking care of her grandson and working with animal rescues. Katherine has been fostering animals for about 9 years. Her fosters have included an iguana, duck, and many puppies and dogs. When time allows, Katherine enjoys baking cakes and cupcakes for all occasions. But she makes sure that weekends have time set aside to watch K-State and the Kansas City Chiefs!

Jason West--Husband, Music lover, Traveler, and Insurance Agent!

Jason has a background in homes and motorcycles. In addition to his career as an Insurance Agent, Jason has also been a licensed Realtor® since 1994; he has worked in the insurance industry since 2004. Jason joined Wheat State Insurance Group in 2015 and is a licensed Property & Casualty Agent. He is married to his best friend, Sydney, and together they share three children: Jordan, Andrew, & Hank. Jason loves traveling to ocean locations, going to live concerts, camping, spending time with family and friends and tinkering with his Jeep.
